SIGANN Wiki
This page was created for the purpose of creating collaborative reports, projects, and repositories connected with SIGANN and various workshops, and conferences relating to the linguistic annotation of resources for computationjal linguistics.
Please refer to the following pages for more information:
SIGANN main page (not a wiki): for more information about SIGANN
WikiWorkingGroups: This page lists various working groups, along with links to their websites and the conferences associated with them. These are all wiki pages.
Content of Linguistic Annotation: Standards and Practices (CLASP): This page documents CLASP, an effort to improve the interoperability of annotation content. CLASP leaves issues concerning annotation encoding format to other efforts including GrAF.
Please be aware of the following guidelines: * If anyone else is already in the process of editing, you will not be able to edit simultaneously. This is necessary, because otherwise, wiki would only keep the last saved version. This would mean that one editor would invariably lose his/her work.
Under the current settings, each person has 30 minutes to edit a page. However, if you click on the Preview Button at the top of the page, your 30 minutes will start again.
For this reason, it is suggested that (if possible) you get your additions to the page ready off-line and then paste them in.
Saving often is also advisable.
To start editing, you must first login (at the top of the page) and then go to the subpage you want to edit. If you are using wiki for the first time, I suggest that you look at the various help menus below and possibly even play in the sandbox. To edit a page, you must first click on one of the Edit buttons at the top of a page. I don't suggest completely winging it. However, a combination of knowing a little bit and using Edit (GUI) instead of Edit (Text) seems to work OK (at least for me). Perhaps the most crucial thing to get right is what constitutes a wiki name (A string of words beginning with an uppercase letter and containing a second uppercase letter.) All wiki website are supposed to have wiki names; your login name is a wikiname, etc.
If you are not currently a member of one of the working groups, but would like to join, please email Adam Meyers (meyers at cs dot nyu dot edu).
